Job description

Role overview: The Accountant - Retail Operations is based in Louisville, Kentucky and supports store support, product availability, and customer experience. This position combines hands-on execution with reliable documentation and collaboration across operational and technical teams. Responsibilities: Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, investigate variances, and support period-end financial reporting. Apply these responsibilities to store support, product availability, and customer experience. Work with process owners to account for seasonal demand and differences between store and online workflows. Identify problems early, record the evidence behind recommendations, and coordinate handoffs so agreed work is completed accurately. Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent demonstrated project work. Demonstrated capability in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, spreadsheets, and accounting controls. Experience supporting retail operations is preferred. Ability to document decisions, communicate clearly, and handle business information responsibly. Initial priorities: Complete assigned reconciliations and document the causes of material variances. Begin by reviewing the current process, agreeing on a baseline with stakeholders, and identifying the most useful improvement to deliver. Report results using measures appropriate to the role and explain any unresolved dependencies. Work arrangement: Full-Time, On-site in Louisville, Kentucky. Estimated annual cash compensation: USD 71,000 to 96,000.
