Job description

Role overview: The Computer Network Architect - Retail Operations is based in Greensboro, North Carolina and supports store support, product availability, and customer experience. This position combines hands-on execution with reliable documentation and collaboration across operational and technical teams. Responsibilities: Design network topology, assess capacity, select connectivity patterns, and guide controlled infrastructure changes. Apply these responsibilities to store support, product availability, and customer experience. Work with process owners to account for seasonal demand and differences between store and online workflows. Identify problems early, record the evidence behind recommendations, and coordinate handoffs so agreed work is completed accurately. Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent demonstrated project work. Demonstrated capability in routing, switching, network segmentation, and architecture documentation. Experience supporting retail operations is preferred. Ability to document decisions, communicate clearly, and handle business information responsibly. Initial priorities: Create a capacity plan and network design with measurable resilience goals. Begin by reviewing the current process, agreeing on a baseline with stakeholders, and identifying the most useful improvement to deliver. Report results using measures appropriate to the role and explain any unresolved dependencies. Work arrangement: Full-Time, On-site in Greensboro, North Carolina. Estimated annual cash compensation: USD 114,000 to 154,000.
