Job description
Role overview: The Customer Service Representative - Financial Services is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and supports account servicing, transaction workflows, and customer communications. This position combines hands-on execution with reliable documentation and collaboration across operational and technical teams.
Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve routine account issues, document interactions, and escalate complex cases. Apply these responsibilities to account servicing, transaction workflows, and customer communications. Work with process owners to preserve access controls and maintain clear review and approval records. Identify problems early, record the evidence behind recommendations, and coordinate handoffs so agreed work is completed accurately.
ROLE-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist customers with account-service questions, transaction inquiries, and requests that fall within approved support procedures. Verify identity before discussing protected account details. Explain next steps in plain language, keep complete CRM notes, and route disputes or suspected unauthorized activity through established channels. Track unresolved cases through handoff and completion. Recognize questions requiring licensed or specialist advice and refer them appropriately rather than making unsupported commitments.
Qualifications: 1+ year of relevant experience or equivalent practical training. Demonstrated capability in clear communication, CRM records, issue triage, and service follow-through. Experience supporting financial services is preferred. Ability to document decisions, communicate clearly, and handle business information responsibly.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should be able to explain how they have used clear communication, CRM records, issue triage, and service follow-through in practical work. Relevant experience may come from employment, consulting engagements, apprenticeships, or substantial projects. Bring examples of how you resolved an operational problem, checked the accuracy of your work, and communicated a recommendation to colleagues with different responsibilities. Familiarity with the industry is valuable, and the ability to learn unfamiliar processes and ask precise questions is equally important.
FIRST 90 DAYS
Learn approved verification and escalation procedures, demonstrate accurate case documentation, and take ownership of a defined service queue. During onboarding, review existing documentation, meet the people who depend on this role, and confirm priorities with your manager. Agree on a realistic delivery plan, record dependencies, and share progress regularly. Success will be evaluated through the quality of completed work, reliable follow-through, and improvements to the specific process or service assigned to you.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Work collaboratively with operational stakeholders and subject-matter experts. Keep decisions, unresolved questions, and handoffs documented so others can continue work without unnecessary delays. Raise conflicting priorities early and propose practical next steps. Maintain confidentiality and use approved systems when handling customer, employee, or business information.
Work arrangement: Full-Time, On-site in Charlotte, North Carolina. Estimated annual cash compensation: USD 38,000 to 51,500.
