Role overview: The Customer Service Representative - Medical Device Services is based in Bismarck, North Dakota and supports device service requests, product documentation, and customer support. This position combines hands-on execution with reliable documentation and collaboration across operational and technical teams. Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve routine account issues, document interactions, and escalate complex cases. Apply these responsibilities to device service requests, product documentation, and customer support. Work with process owners to maintain traceable records and coordinate changes with designated quality reviewers. Identify problems early, record the evidence behind recommendations, and coordinate handoffs so agreed work is completed accurately. ROLE-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Assist customers with order status, product availability, shipping documentation, returns, and service coordination for medical device operations. Capture product identifiers and issue details accurately, and distinguish administrative questions from technical or clinical questions. Route product complaints and potential safety concerns to the designated quality team promptly. Maintain traceable case records and coordinate with distribution and service teams to provide accurate updates. Qualifications: 1+ year of relevant experience or equivalent practical training. Demonstrated capability in clear communication, CRM records, issue triage, and service follow-through. Experience supporting medical device services is preferred. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Candidates should be able to explain how they have used clear communication, CRM records, issue triage, and service follow-through in practical work. Relevant experience may come from employment, consulting engagements, apprenticeships, or substantial projects. Bring examples of how you resolved an operational problem, checked the accuracy of your work, and communicated a recommendation to colleagues with different responsibilities. Familiarity with the industry is valuable, and the ability to learn unfamiliar processes and ask precise questions is equally important. FIRST 90 DAYS Demonstrate reliable complaint routing, learn order and returns procedures, and take ownership of routine cases through resolution. During onboarding, review existing documentation, meet the people who depend on this role, and confirm priorities with your manager. Agree on a realistic delivery plan, record dependencies, and share progress regularly. Success will be evaluated through the quality of completed work, reliable follow-through, and improvements to the specific process or service assigned to you. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Work collaboratively with operational stakeholders and subject-matter experts. Keep decisions, unresolved questions, and handoffs documented so others can continue work without unnecessary delays. Raise conflicting priorities early and propose practical next steps. Maintain confidentiality and use approved systems when handling customer, employee, or business information. Work arrangement: Full-Time, On-site in Bismarck, North Dakota.
